Graduation & Japan Trip
The graduation part was actually really tame. I petitioned to graduate late so I'll have to wait until sometime in December to actually receive my degree. Good thing is that I made it out with a 4.0, so hopefully that helps my job prospects a bit. The school is all the way in New Hampshire so I won't be attending the actual ceremony. Congratulations to me! Yay!
I took a trip to Japan in October, mainly to visit Kesennuma. It was a good trip, got to see a lot of people, some former students, met the new ALTs. Even though it's only been 2 years all the JETs that I knew from my time were gone. Only Jericho, the Interac ALT, was still around, and he was an hour and a half away. The new ALTs are a good group, better overall than the group during my time. Still hard to believe it's been over 2 years since I came back. Seeing all the fun the ALTs were having made me wish I was still young enough to go back and do it all over again. Put me back at 25 and I'm signing back up!
Unfortunately during the trip I managed to get an infection in my finger, an ear infection (in my left ear no less), and I caught a cold the last few days I was there which I'm still feeling pretty hard today. Other than that though, the trip was great, and although it'll likely be many years before I go back, I'll definitely be going back again. また行きます!
Need to get my car serviced and start looking for jobs now. Hopefully something turns up. I'm excited to start on the road towards my career for real now. Better late than never!
